About us:
60 members, 60 companies, 1 vision for the Grand Region
Established in 2022 by a group of Portuguese entrepreneurs in the Luxembourg, the Escala Business Club is a privately-owned project with the main goal to support the development of its members and to encourage the formation of businesses in Luxembourg, Portugal and the Grande Région.
Market
Situated at the heart of the Grande Région, Luxembourg is the ideal gate to access a market roughly the size of Portugal (11 million people), but with a GDP twice as large (412 billion euros in 2021).
The Grande Région encompasses five regions in four countries: Luxembourg ; Germany (Sarre and Rhénanie-Palatinat) ; France (Lorraine) and Belgium (Wallonie, Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and the German-speaking Community).
It is placed in the historical heart of Europe, less the 300 km away from Paris, Brussels, Rotterdam and Frankfurt, and less than 600 km away from London, Berlin, Prague and Milan.
mission
Escala business Club is first and foremost, as its name indicates, a business club, having as its main mission to be in the service of its members, helping with their development. This mission has three main axis: aggregate, add value and contribute to a sustainable development.
structure
To achieve this mission the founders opted for co-operative structure (CoopSA), allowing it to function as an enterprise but keeping the aggregating and solidarity spirit of an association.
Business Model
It is identical to other business clubs (member quotas), but with a fundamental difference: the members are also stockholders of the Club. This will allow it to gradually increase its capital and to finance strategic investments.
partners
Its aggregating DNA is also present in the membership modes. The companies that wish to benefit of this networking without becoming stockholders may just become partners of the Club, with advantages “à la carte” via the quota payment.
The founding members
Escala Business Club was founded by a group of seven entrepreneurs of Portuguese origin in the Luxembourg, with activities in different business sectors.
